They don’t call them celebrities because they are private. Unfortunately in America, and most of the world we are obsessed with celebrities. However, this isn’t new. Every celebrity in Hollywood knew in the beginning that if they became famous that they would lose a big chunk of privacy, yet they still strived to their current social standing. It’s like the man who’s upset about a speeding ticket when he was going 90 on the highway! For every cause there is an affect, and for a celebrity, you get the paparazzi.

if they want private time there are places they can go to get it...but other then that it is the trade off for being famous and making the kind of money they do.....

Given the extremes to which the paparrazi go to, I don't think celebs were asking for that when they became famous. These 'people' are putting lives in danger with their antics to get their money shots. It's a little ridiculous. And seriously...do we really need people there to get crotch shots to invade the internet???

And for your last question...EVERYONE, regardless of who they are, needs private time.

I feel if people started to boycott the tabloids then the paparrazzi would all be out of a job. To a certain extent the celebrity is asking for the attention...but they are also human and need some privacy. The photographers are out of control and need to tone it down a lot.

Imagine walking out of a restaurant or the dry cleaners or picking your child up from day care and hundreds of flash bulbs going off in your face, people yelling out your name, jumping in front of your car, hiding in your bushes, going through your trash....I think anyone would get sick of it after awhile.

CCAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE SOMEONE UP YOUR *** EVERY TIME YOU JUST WANT TO GET A BEER OR SOMETHING FROM THE STORE

If they really wanted their privacy, they would move out of the mainstream spot light. Look at Julia Roberts, she lives in the mountains somewhere and they leave her alone and she is one of the highest paid actresses. So in that respect, i think they do ask for it because they are doing nothing to avoid it.

Then you have the celebrities that call photographers (ie britney spears) and tell them where they are going to be so that the pap can get a shot, such as her jail stint. she didnt go in the backdoor, she waltzed right in the front so everyone would see her and she would get her press.

I think celebrities kind of enjoy it. I think it would get irritating on a bad day, but just like anything can irritate you on a bad day. There are some celebrities who you can tell dont like it, but they are also the celebs that try to keep their life private and dont air out their dirty laundry for the world.

I think that the Papparazzi take it way too far. It's becoming stalking, and I really think that laws should be put in place to limit that. If someone who wasn't famous was being followed around by someone all day taking pictures of them, wouldn't they call the cops? I don't see why celebrities don't have that right just because they're famous.

Some of these "celebrities" aren't even famous for anything, they were just born to wealth. Children of celebrities didn't ASK for it, they're just children. I think they all deserve their privacy.

Actors enjoy acting. It's the job that they love, for the most part, so I don't see why their job should force them to endure that kind of treatment. Some of those papparrazzi say terrible things if they don't get the shot they want. No one deserves that.

As for moving somewhere they won't be seen, yes, the could do that. And most of them DO go places there aren't papparrazzi, and that usually works for them, but the fact that they HAVE to do that seems wrong to me.

Ahh, but then usually the people who agree with me on this are the same people who go out and buy those magazines, so I'm wasting my breath, I'm sure. ;]

If they wanted to save their privacy , they should never have become a celebrity. When you plant yourself in the publics eye, you have to learn to live with the consequences of stardom.
