i love aaliyah! and i cried when i found out! i was in school at that time!!!!
i think she's very pretty and talented even if she was young. i loved her song in the animated movie "Anastasia". i think she was great in Romeo Must Die and especially love her as Akasha in Queen of the Damned. I love vampires, you see, and i think she brought justice to Akasha's character.
i also love her songs and dance moves. also, i think she is a really good person, that is why missy elliot and her are such good friends and also the reason why she has a lot of friends in the first place.
oh yeah, there are some people who say that kind-hearted people die young, i think it's true in her case...

it's sad when anyone dies. but it's been 6 years. in that same year, hundreds of men, women, and children died in the Towers. i'll be sad about that longer.
That Anne Rice movie she made was almost like a documentary probing the inner psyche of a young, tortured artist trying to break free from the confines of the call and response capitalist music industry that is prevalent in America today. I miss her and the breath of fresh air she brought not only to music, but also to our culture.
I was both shocked and saddened. Even now, I think of her and can't believe she's gone. She was a refreshing soul in the music industry who always seemed so bubbly and at peace with herself.
I was very sad. I was at work when I heard the news & yes I cried a little. She was just amazing with such a beautiful voice. Such a beautiful person with great talent. Its a shame we lose the great ones with great talent like her & Left-eye from TLC & were stuck with the likes of Brittany.
