What is the appeal of Kayne West?!
Question: I was wondering why Kayne West is such a huge artist. I don't think his lyricism or music is that original. He hasn't been in the music industry long enough to have the inflated ego that he already has. In the eye of the public, he seems very arrogant. Is the music industry that watered down now?

I don't like him or any rap music for that matter. These artists these days, if they get one hit it goes to their head and suddenly they think they are #1. It sounds like most of his stuff is electronic sounding anyways. He has no real talent such as singing or playing his own instruments.
yeah, look at crap like yung joc, t-pain, lil wayne, etc.
I don't really like him, his only good song isn't really his song, and his talking over the real thing ruined it.
but there is good out there, like colbie caillat and feist.
when he came out with songs like "jesus walks" and "through the wire" he came with something different. he was talking about stuff other than cars and girls. people wanted something different at the time and embraced him. he took that to his head and his third album is totally garbage. he was celebrated for his openness but now his arrogance will lead to his downfall. common or the roots should have the fan following and fame he does.
Not original, how about jesus walks whose ever done something like that or his all falls down song where he straight out said he′s selfconcious.
But I do have to agree on the arrogant part, I think he takes it too far and to tell you the truth I only like his 1st album and some cuts after that.
