Whats going on with Ellen and the puppy? Whats the story behind this?!

Question: "For anyone who may have missed this story, Ellen Degeneres adopted a puppy from a shelter a little while back, but gave him away to her hairdresser when she found that he wasn’t getting along very well with her cats. When the folks from the shelter called to check up and found out what had happened, they took the dog back from the hairdresser, who didn’t meet the standards of a background check that the shelter requires of anyone adopting an animal."

Exaclty what TM LEAFfan said....so sad...she was crying really badly..i felt so sorry for her..

She adopted a puppy, the puppy, iggy, didnt get along with her cats so she gave it away to the hairdresser. The contract said that she is not allowed to give away the adopted pet unless informing the agency first. if she doesnt inform them they are allowed to take the dog back. So they took it back and gave it to another family. Now ellen is crying like there has been a death.
However, apparently, this has happened more then once with Ellen. She always adopts, cats dont get along, gives it away.

It has a happy ending though. They found it a new home already. Jeez! I can't believe I know this. lol

Ellen had adopted this puppy from a dog adoption agency but decided to give the puppy away to her hair stylist and her family when the dog agency herd this they were furious so they went to Ellen's hair stylist's home for an so called
" investigation" but they took the puppy away instead.
that's what happened.

Ellen used her celebrity to "bring down" a rescue volunteer. Everyone however did over-react. The rescue lady could have inspected the home that Ellen gave the dog to, but there are still rules that the rescue operations have to adhere to--like they didn't allow giving pets to home with kids under 14 because of liability. This home had 2 kids under that age. And Ellen had to go and tell the world, and now a lady who spends all her time rescuing dogs to find homes for them is now destroyed. Her punishment did not fit the crime.
Both Ellen and this woman do good for the world. Ellen, however, is someone who is not told no to. She abused her celebrity to get the public on her side. We need to remember that this volunteer rescues animals and finds homes for them.
Also, watch Ellen's plea on youtube. She said that she paid to have the dog trained. She had OTHER people do the work for her to train the dog. When a dog is trained, they are more apt to listen to the trainer. When the dog arrived at her home he proved to be "too much work". She thought she could bring the dog home and simply have the dog fit in like a picture on the wall. It also appears that she has done this a number of times before. So the question begs to be asked--where does the blame lie?
