Why is the band Radiohead so underappreciated in America?!

Question: It's utterly ridiculous, that's why I ask. They are the greatest living rock band (IMO). Are Americans really this clueless?

because Americans dont know what they want even when its on their nose. I love them too and so far, the only music that gets any respect is music that doesn't deserve it. Like music where they rhyme mat with rat, some girl called Hannah Montana with a wig on sings on stage (are you serious?) and the song Lip Gloss which is single handedly the worst song ever written by a non-retard.
There appreciated here. Probably not as much as they should be, but there still popular.
well, as an american, i appreciate radiohead a great deal -- especially their early stuff. i think they've sold out a bit lately.
"high and dry" was thoroughly overplayed on radio stations all over the country though. does that count as appreciation?
Radiohead is very appreciated. If they weren't their concerts would not have sold out in 15 minutes. I think you're getting "appreciated" with what flavor of the month is at the top of the charts. It's not just America. Come on, Radiohead is from the same country as the Spice Girls. Pop music will always make more money, even if it sucks.
