Answers: Most people say its short for Jehovah, which means savior. Like him saying that he is the savior of the rap game. He caught some flak over it from Christian groups. A claim of being god, Never really liked that about him, there are some things you just have to respect if you believe in them or not. Unfortunately, he is referring to himself as Jehovah. Who is God Almighty the Father of Jesus Christ. He's treading on thin ice. God's word says He will not share His glory with another. It says that He is God and there is no one above Him or anyone who can compare to Him. Jay-Z needs a wake-up call. it's his nick name "young HOVA" Hova is one of his stage names besides and jay-z H-O-V-A is a God that in worshiped by some religions, like Jesus Christ is a God worshiped by other religions. He is ranking himself as a god.(That is my understanding)
