I'm a HUGE Aerosmith fan and I saw them in concert on July 19, 2007 :D aerosmith.com They were from the Boston area I think. They played around Mass. and Ct. before getting signed to CBS in 1973 after a gig at Max's Kansas City, where they were spotted by CBS signers. Their first album sold 100,000 copies...not a lot. I bought one, in the first couple of weeks of its release...I was one of the first A. fans. They invented the form called Power Ballad. world wide baby !!! You have two great answers. Don't forget that Steven Tyler (nee Talerico (sp) had a huge heroin habit that pretty much tore the band apart. I believe the sexy Joe Perry also suffered from drug addiction.
