Is it me or does Anthony Hopkins just never really attempt an American accent when he is clearly meant to be portraying an American? Oddly, it really doesn't detract from his performance for me...I simply noticed it... :)
Answers: Yeah him and Sean Connery are the worse for that. Neither of them make any great attempts at accents. Why should he. If he is not required to play an American
He's got more acting talent than half of Hollywood have in their left toe. not to my knowledge Maybe it is more important to him to play the character rather than try and put on a fake accent.
He is a brilliant actor and quite sexy for his age!
