I went through the same thing, too, with all this stuff on MTV now that I can't even relate to. That was when it hit me - my generation's time has come and gone...now if I want to watch my type of videos, I have to tune in to The Alternative on VH1 Classic, LOL! It depends. These are f'ing disney stars. So usually if you have kids ages 3-19 you'd understand. But um I dunno your age.

It's a bunch of stupid ten year olds filling up the celebrity boards about high school musical and the jonas brothers and miley cyrus. Think young. Stay young! No, you're not too old, you just care about "real" performers and celebrities, while these little kids are all Disney Channel's juggernaut that apparently has our kids and teens by the throat, the way they have been obsessing all over these boards lately!

...just less aware of those who make alot of noise & contribute very little.
Entertainment used to consist of real artists who's talents & creative expressions spoke for themselves.
Now entertainment & the concept of "celebrity" comes packaged in crap like American Idol contestants & reality show winners.
Pop music is of the most inferior quality to date - image has taken a front seat to talent. I've heard of High School Musical...but that's it. No clue who Miley Cirus or the Jonas Bros. are....I think the whole high school musical thing is a little ridiculous. I live in Minnesota, and the 2nd high school musical movie came out around the time of the bridge collapse. On the front page of the paper was a huge article about high school musical 2, and off to the side in a little tiny space was something about the bridge collapse, RIGHT AFTER IT HAPPENED!!!! ugh...what's this world coming to We're not too old, just ole' fossils who aren't up on current entertainment venues/persons. What little exposure I've had to them has felt like an assault. But then, my parents felt assaulted when they heard Elvis Presley and Gladys Knight & the Pips. LOL. We're not part of that crowd and I do not lament that fact. Actually I'm pleased to have survived the chaos of youth and learned of things more relevant to life and infinitely more rewarding. And I'm enjoying being a "Crotchity ole' Grandpa" (said with tongue-in-cheek) to my grandkids! They're enjoying it too! LOL I'm 22 and I'm just now hearing of these people. Hahah I remember watching The Mickey Mouse Club with Justin, Christina, Britney, and Keri Russell..(before I knew they'd even be stars) so that's the only disney I really know of. Besides the animated Disney movies. When I was 12 I was outside playing, where are these children's parents? Do they know they waste time after school asking asinine questions on the internet?
