How can I convince my mom I wont take drugs when i'm rich and famous?

WELL, I WANT TO PERSUE MY DREAM OF ACTING AND SINGING, AND OF COURSE, IF YOU SING AND ACT, YOU GET MONEY. BUT MONEY IS BESIDES THE POINT. MY MOM WONT LET ME GO ON THE AUDITION BECAUSE IF I DO GET A PART OF SINGING AND ACTING, SHE'S AFRAID THAT I MIGHT GET INVOLVED IN DRUGS. SO, IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO HAVE IDEAS ON HOW TO CONVINCE MY PARENTS THAT I CAN HANDLE MYSELF NOT TAKING DRUGS?

I can understand where a parent may want to protect you. It is what parents like to do because they just worry about their kids. Be thankful you have parents that do care about you. Tell your parents that they should trust you because they should already know that you are going to do the right thing. I don't have a clue why your parents feel they cannot trust you. Make sure you let them know that if you wanted to take drugs you wouldn't have to wait until you are famous. You have already made the right choices by being drug free. It is perfectly normal to want to pursue your dreams. Let your parents know that they will be there right by your side all of the time. They can go to the auditions with you so they have an idea of what you are getting into. Alot of kids that are famous have their parents as their manager. If you don't try then you will never know.
