For me selena all the way in my opinion selena was more fascinating in her short life then aaliyah to me aaliyah was boring and dull.

Selena's music was more cultural and atypical and newer than Aaliyah's music as hers was typical and kinda commerical, but I think she did have a pretty rough life so I think both their lives are probably equally interesting, but bc Aaliyah's music was dull and boring in contrast to Selena's new "Tejano" music, I agree that a movie about her might be kinda boring bc as a solo artist she was only successful on a commercial level, whereas Selena was success on a variety of levels, including commercial, as well as on a cross-cultural level. And after all, she practically invented a new genre of music--she was the first "tejano" music artist, which refers to music a mixture of mexican and american beats and sounds.
