What Part, If Any, Does Music Play, In Your Life?
And who are your absolute, all time favorites? I am primarily, old school, and grew up listening too, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, The Supremes, Barbra Streisand, The Beatles, Al Green and Gladys Knight And The Pips. There are others, but far too many, to mention, so tell us, what are you into, and what meaning, if any, does music have, in your life? Old school, new school, it doesn't matter, or maybe, you're into both. Please, be specific.

Since my earliest memories, music has been a mainstay in my life. I remember listening to Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath before I was old enough to go to school. My father would take me with him to biker bars and he would hustle pool!
I watched American Bandstand from '78 & up. Same with Solid Gold. I can trace my music year-by-year ... Olivia Newton-John, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, The Police, Lionel Richie, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Duran Duran, anything on MTV ... from the first day they were on the air to about '91. I got my first Depeche Mode tape in '83 .. Motley Crue rocked! Blondie. Joy Division, New Order, YAZ, ... I was in the Tiffany video, "I think we're alone now" ... my first concert was Information Society. Tears For Fears, Love & Rockets, Nitzer Ebb, Nine Inch Nails, Front 242 ... Siouxsie & the Banshees .. the Creatures.
I love Streisand. Diana Krall gives me goosebumps. See her live if you can. Marlena Shaw ... "Blackberry Winter" ... dreamy!
I love 80's seedy/gay underground club music ... Vicious Pink, Divine, Soft Cell, Bronski Beat, the Communards, etc.
I love experimental/industrial like Zoviet France, Recoil ... you get the idea.
There are so many more that I can't even think of right now ... music is my escape ... and dancing is my partner!
