`The Observer`s` featuring on its cover a photo of Gerri Halliwell made me think hard whence observing Ken Russell`s photo of a middle-aged woman writer playing the cello in the middle of Hampstead Heath so as to attract attention to the postboard of rejection slips for a novel she was attempting to sell.
Why has everything gone topsy-turvy???? Why are reputable newspapers and magazines pandering to tabloid trash?
Do a cover on Helen Mirren. Do a cover on Sandra Shevey. Do a cover on anyone who has made a difference to this country and this society.
