Inertia ? Anyone else suffer from it ...?!

Question:

Inertia ? Anyone else suffer from it ...?

All my life, I've had periods of complete inertia where I have got up in the morning, promising to do various jobs of importance, and end up wasting the whole day doing nothing much. This happens at weekends and in the week I work and normally apply great commitment to my job. I try and use that old maxim ... jobs and chores first, play second .... but it seldom works. Just wondered how many of you experience this and then beat yourself up at the end of the day because you have simply not done what you intended to?

Answers:

I have been in that state now for 5 or 6 months. I retired in Dec. 06 and though now I would have all the time in the world to do some things I have wanted to do for ages. I don't do anything. I get up in the morning, have my coffee, turn on the tv, then the computer. I check e-mail, read the news and weather, then go to Q & A. I keep up with the laundry and dishes, but that's about it. I need to dust, vacumn, and mop my kitchen floor, but I can't seem to get the energy or the ambition. When I can't stand to walk on the floor barefoot I sweep and mop. I used to scrub and clean on my day off work, but now I am off everyday and just sit around most of the day. I only leave the house to get the mail and buy groceries. It's to hot now anyway to out. I think part of it is I need some sunshine. I have to have all the windows and ceiling vents covered with foil installation. ( I live in a RV ) It's like being in a tin can. It can really heat up. So I am like a hermit in a dark cave. What to do, what to do?
