I know people don't like Rosie but...?

I saw photos and footage of her from 1996-1997 and she looked nice-- nice hair, pretty makeup. What happened? She's only about 3 years older than me, but she looks like an old woman.
Did she just stop wearing makeup, or did the last 10 years really take a toll?? (I know people will say she's always been ugly, but that's not what I mean.)
