Why do you think people in general are interested in celebrity gossip?
I'm sick and tired of who else is getting married and in Paris.
Answers:
Two reasons:
They want to live vicariously through them (rich and famous)
OR
They like seeing that they make the same stupid mistakes we do. (human and fallible) Brings a weird kind of comfort.
