Is it social acceptable to call an artist by his first name?!

Basically ozzy osbourne...can i call him "ozzy" if the only song i know of his is "crazy train"?! personally, i don't see why not...

Sure, why not. I mean, there are some you can do that with because it's obvious who you're referring to...like Ozzy.
