For a couple reasons:
1. They run their own band
2. They don't have to worry about who's more attractive in the band.
3. They know they'll be considered more talented because they handle everything by themselves.
4. They won't have rumors passed around as being gay because they work with other guys.
5. They choose their own songs, lyrics, and the roots of the music, and no one disagrees.
