I heard that Equusv is to be opening in New York City in summer of 2008 and Daniel Radcliffe may reprise his role- does anyone know for sure?

Although Dan's publicist hasn't yet confirmed this, Dan and Richard Griffiths have stated that they are up for reprising their "Equus" roles on Broadway next year, particularly if the timing will coincide with the scheduling of the Tony Awards. To my knowledge, the financial backing is in place and 9 producers have been vying to do the play. Both Playbill and Broadway.com have said that the transfer of the play is confirmed; however, until Dan's publicist says it's so, none of this can be considered fact - but we're hoping!
I flew to London in May and saw the play twice. Both Dan and Richard gave incredible performances. In a recent video interview, Dan stated that bringing "Equus" to Broadway would be the ultimate. Also, my understanding is that playwright Peter Shaffer will not authorize an official production on Broadway unless Dan reprises his role. So keep your fingers crossed!
