My favorite Shakira song is 'Eyes Like Yours (Ojos Asi)'. Both the English and Spanish versions are great tracks to listen to. The lyrics are also beautiful and in my opinion, well written.
I've heard people criticizing her songwriting and saying the lyrics are lame and terrible but I disagree. I think what makes her unique from other artistes are:
a) her song lyrics- no one else can write the lyrics from their heart which are true and funny as well
b) she is a great performer
c) her hips don't (NEVER, actually) lie
d) she sings remarkably well
'Eyes Like Yours' is also catchy, a very upbeat song and is easy to sing to.
